The Board of Public Service Superannuation Plan Trustee Inc. (PSSPTI) is pleased to announce that one of its members, Geoff Gatien, recently completed the Directors Education Program and received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD).
“I consider myself very fortunate to have received support in obtaining the ICD.D designation. The program was very well structured and very relevant to our duties as directors of the PSSPTI.”
The ICD is a not-for-profit, member-based organization supporting Canadian directors and their boards. The ICD delivers ‘best in class governance education, thought leadership resources and opportunities for members to network within the director community.’
“Mr. Gatien has been a solid contributor to the PSSPTI Board since joining it in 2016,” said NS Pension CEO, Doug Moodie, “and I know that completion of the Directors Education Program will only enhance his capacity to provide ongoing governance support for the Plan.
“The PSSPTI Board provides strategic leadership in support of NS Pension’s professional management of the Superannuation Plan,” stated Board Chair, Leo McKenna. “The Plan continues to grow and strengthen, and Geoff has been an integral part of our governance structure.”
