Cynthia Yazbek, Executive Director, Labour and Advanced Education

Cynthia was appointed to the Nova Scotia Civil Service in 2005 and is currently the Executive Director, Labour Services Branch with the Department of Labour and Advanced Education. She has worked in the Nova Scotia public sector since 1995, having worked with the Westray Mine Public Inquiry and with the former Nova Scotia Association of Health Organizations providing employee relations advice to the health care sector for a number of years.

Cynthia has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of King’s College and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University.  She has been a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society since 1995.

Cynthia was appointed to the Public Service Superannuation Trustee Inc. in 2013.
