Chris is currently the Director, Policy, Planning and Research at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC). Prior to joining the NSCC, Chris held a number of senior government positions, including: Associate Deputy Minister, Economic Development and Tourism; Executive Director, Business Relationship Management with Internal Services; Executive Director, Policy and Planning with Nova Scotia Environment and Environmental Assessment Administrator with Nova Scotia Environment.
Prior to his work in government, he held positions with Nova Scotian consulting firms and is a former member of the Canadian Forces Reserves.
Chris is currently a Trustee for the Provincial Government Pension Plan (PSSP), Chair of the PSSP Investment Committee, Chair of the Nova Scotia Public Service Long Term Disability Plan Trust Fund Board, member of HRM’s Community Design Advisory Committee (CDAC) and a member of the Salvation Army Advisory Committee.
Chris holds an undergraduate honours degree in Biological Sciences (BSc.), master’s degree in Environmental Studies (MES), and certificates in Business Relationship Management and Canadian Risk Management.
